Stable Emulsions (De-emulgation Equipment)

The stable emulsions normally include additives, which are added before and during an application. Examples are: de-foaming agents, biocides, bactericides and fungicides for pre- and post-conservation, disinfectant cleaners, stabilizers, corrosion protection additives, high pressure additives, alloyed (without chemically acting additives) and unalloyed oils. Mostly naphthenic - or paraffin-alkaline mineral oils, rarely synthetic oils such as hydrocracked oils, ester oils and many more. Often phosphorous- and sulfuric compounds, as petroleum sulfonate and alkaline soaps, for example triethanolamine salts are added. These emulsions cannot be broken apart by means of conventional breaking and flocculants.

For the first time AWAS has recently achieved, to retrieve oil from these emulsions and to separate it in an oil tank by using the combination of our Galaxie separator and newly developed technology with a de-emulsifier. 

De-emulsifier Technology

With the use of de-emulsifiers no additional waste material is produced from the emulsions, but reusable or recyclable raw materials as well as oils can be derived.  
The large amount of sludge originating from conventional breaking, which causes enormous disposal cost, is largely avoided with this technology.
AWA ORG06 is a liquid product and is based on the synergetic mixture of highly efficient organic and inorganic components. The de-emulsifier AWA ORG06 shows exceptional characteristics, because it develops its full function especially in combination with the newly developed AWAS technology.   

This new industrial wastewater treatment system, using AWA ORG06 was put in operation at a metal recycler and achieves excellent discharge values. At the inlet up to 20,000 mg hydrocarbons per one liter of water - at the outlet < 1 mg hydrocarbons per one liter of water.   

The recovered oil sludge may be fed, e.g. to combustion units as a raw material, which results in a significant decrease of operation costs.
